Sella Nevea Ski Area

Another ski area, in the direct neigbourhod of Bovec and Kanin - Sella Nevea:

- 20 Km of ski runs
- Bila Pec slope, which hosts every year the Europe Ski Cup
- one of the snowiest locations in the Alps
- connected to Kanin (Bovec) in 2009/2010:
- famous for back country skiing, hiking and caves.

Not as sunny as Kanin, but still amazing sights! I prefer Kanin tracks, but there is more ski area, slopes better for beginers and still fun for experienced skiers! There is a local ski bus available from Bovec to Sella Nevea (30 min) and back, check the tourist office information HERE (www.bovec.si) and Sella Nevea infos:

Winter Fun - Kanin

Kanin is the only ski resort in Slovenia with slopes above 2000 m offering lots of sunshine and magnificent views far into the heart of the Jeulian Alps and towards the Mediterranean. In summer, the upper station of the Kanin cable car is the departure point for many attractive hikes: to the peaks of Kanin (2587 m) or Prestreljlenik (2499 m) or Peter Skalar`s hut, which is onlya 40-minute walk away.
